What To Watch For | How You Can Protect Yourself

Women: Women & Men:
  • You may find that you have an unusual discharge from your vagina. You may also notice an unusual smell.
  • You may feel pain in the area between you belly button and your vagina.
  • You may feel a burning or itching in you vaginal area.
  • You may experience unusual bleeding from your vagina.
  • You may feel a deep pain in the event you have sex. 
Men:
  • You may find that you have a small or large discharge from your penis
  • You may find that you have a sore or something that looks like a bump or blister by your genital area, rectum or even on your mouth.
  • You may feel a burning sensations when you urinate or have a bowel movement.
  • You may feel like you have to urinate often or even all the time.
  • You may feel a lot of itching around your genital area.
  • You may have a lot of redness and/or puffiness  around your genitalia, mouth or throat.
  • You may feel like you have the flu.
  • You may feel very tired all the time.

What To Do About It
If you have these symptoms, you need to temporarily refrain from having sex until you are done with your treatments. Continuing to have sex while you have an STD can make you sicker and spread the disease. See testing and treatment immediately!
