Mission and More:
|
|
|
|
After
years of performing educational and
motivational plays nationally for
incarcerated populations and
school-aged youth, Darcy Padgett and
Norman Mitchell decided they needed
to join the fight against the HIV
epidemic.
The loss of many friends and
family and the love for their own
children blossomed into a passion
for educating all youth.
In 2000, they established Bee
Busy Foundation, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit community-based, minority
organization designed to improve the
quality of life for at-risk youth.
With a name change in 2002,
the Bee Busy Learning Academy, Inc.
was founded.
